~Meet Mrs. Morfeld~
Hello! My name is Mrs. Morfeld, and I am your child’s Title 1 Teacher. I am so excited to educate your child.
I am originally from Alton, Iowa. I graduated from Mount Marty College in Yankton, South Dakota (May 2005) with a BA degree in Elementary Education along with a minor in Special Education and Coaching Endorsements. I also played basketball (1 year) and volleyball (all 4 years) for the MMC Lancers.
Overall, I have eighteen years teaching/eleven years coaching experience. This will be my nineteenth year of teaching! I taught 3rd grade for six years in Scotland, South Dakota and preschool for one year in Yankton, South Dakota. I also taught 3rd grade in Neenah, Wisconsin for one year. I taught 3rd grade in Albert Lea, Minnesota for three years. I taught 1st grade in Stanton, Nebraska for three years. This will be my fifth year teaching Title 1 at Stanton. (Basically, my husband kept getting promoted and I followed along of course!)
I currently live in Stanton, NE with my husband, David, our twin daughters, Kylee and Kharee, and our son, Kolton. We also have a miniature dachshund named Gus. We are huge Husker fans! David is football and I am volleyball. (I will be coaching the JV volleyball team for Stanton Community Schools again this year and assisting the C and Varsity volleyball teams as well.)
I am very excited for the school year, and I will do everything in my power to enrich your child’s educational experience. I want to keep the lines of communication open because I think that your child’s school experience will be extremely successful if parents and teachers work together. I hope that both you and your child have a wonderful school year.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Morfeld
